What is the difference in meaning between 'take advantage of' and 'cash in on'?

This is the beauty of the English language. You can say the same thing with different word and that makes interesting reading and at the same time expands meaning. They all mean the same thing but "Advantage" stirs up different connotations to "profit" for instance. English is a language rich with meaning and that helps wording to be much more precise as well as colourful and full of imagery.
