How can I make my dad let me hang posters on the wall?

Ever since I was really little I was never allowed to hang things on the wall unless there was already a nail there. I want to buy some My Chemical Romance posters and put them up but I don`t want to buy them and then he says no. Even if I use that glue stuff that doesn`t mess up the walls. He just says that he spent so much time/work painting my room and that I will screw it up. What can I do that he will allow me to hang a couple of posters. He knows that I love MCR. I voted for them at least a 1000 times on the all american face off on FUSE.
