HELP PLEASE I just bought an MP3 player and I have no idea and have worked on it for hours to downloan music?

I know about limewire do you need to pay them; is there another site i got it for my wife and she is so frustrated she said take it back; i need a step by step way to downloan music from wherever; its killing me; if you guys or girls could give me any help i would really really apppreciate i am computer illiterate so it would have to be step by step; i am willing to do anything now i appreciate it in advance
