Will god stop the polar ice caps from melting and widespread famine as a result?
The ice caps aren't melting. It doesn't require divine intervention to stop that unless you want to thank him for the warmer temperatures which means more water vapor in the air. That translates to more snow at the poles which has been aculating in spite of some of the sea ice retreating in the north. The marginal loss in some coastal areas is more than made up for by more snow in the interior of Greenland and the vast majority of Antarctica. A few inches of sea level rise per century can't rationally be ociated with widespread famine. Anything beyond that is just baseless alarmist propaganda.
