What is the best way to travel from Ho Chi Minh to Bangkok through Cambodia?

I will be travelling from Ho Chi Minh city to Bangkok and would like to go through Cambodia to get there. I've read about boat trips that will take you through the Mekong Delta, but there isn't much mentioned in the travel books I've read. Has any one does this before and can offer advice and tips? Anything would be appriciated!
